The Robinson Award - Chesapeake's Highest Honor
The Robinson Award was established in 1980 in memory of Grace A. Robinson, a stalwart member of Chesapeake. Both she and her husband William "Reds" were very active members of the club over many years. Following her death the club decided to recognize her efforts by presenting a trophy to a member whose contributions to Chesapeake best emulate the contributions that she made.
The award consists of a large gold colored bowl which the recipient keeps until the next honoree is chosen. The Award is not presented annually, but rather only when the Award committee determines that there is a member deserving of this high honor.
