A Little About Us

The Chesapeake Gem & Mineral Society is a Baltimore, MD based non-profit organization whose members share an interest in gems, minerals and fossils and rocks to name just a few. We are a member of the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical & Lapidary Societies (EFMLS) and affiliated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS).
Our meetings normally include either a featured speaker or an auction (March, June and October). Visitors are always welcome! Field trips are arranged for the warmer months, and we sponsor a one-day gem and mineral show in April. Our monthly club bulletin, Chippers' Chatter, provides information about club activities and includes educational articles. |

Meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month except July and August at the Westchester Community Center, 2414 Westchester Ave; Oella, MD (if using GPS use Ellicott City)
